I am 24 years old, working in automotive industries. I am staying in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, till March 2008 and are looking for some friends to socialise with, e.g. spend an afternoon with shopping :-) This question was just placed by one of my students. Nadia is a South African!
She is in fact looking for SA friends. She already has many German friends Otto B!

I am a student in the united states. I am thinking about studing abroad in south africa, Port Elizabeth. Do you have information about schools, crime rate, and information about the city. I am very interested but i read that it has a high crime rate. is it worth living in south Africa.

I will be studying abroad in South Africa next spring (in Port Elizabeth) and I am wondering if it is considered to be safe or if it is just as dangerous as Johannesburg and Cape Town are known to be?

We are driving from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth in November. We will also be spending a couple of days in Durban with family so perhaps if anyone knows is there better value there? Some of the lodges in the travel brochures are VERY VERY expensive.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Port Elizabeth, coming from the states. We have heard diamonds are much cheaper in PE than in the U.S. Can anyone confirm this and direct us towards a reputable jeweler?
